Brooklyn Gardner
I am Brooklyn Gardner and I strive to be a leader in my community and bring change for the greater good around me. As a member of Kalamazoo Jeter’s Leaders and serving as my Class President at school, I work to advocate for my peers. I want to make sure everyone’s voices are heard and I want to help others reach for goals that they may not have felt were possible. By helping others, I believe we can have a positive impact on our community.
Lolly Holguin
Lolly Holguin is a senior at Tottenville High School in Staten Island. She is an active member of her community as a member of the Richmond County Student Advisory Council. As part of her school, she is part of the Women in Law club, Mock Trial club, student newspaper and Key club. She is also the Vice-President of the Tottenville’s National Honor Society chapter. As part of so many organizations, Lolly has a deep understanding of the impact social media has on youth and their priorities.
Laura Ogando
Laura Ogando began her more than 15+ year career in the New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) as an elementary school special educator. It was in her role as a special educator that Laura became an advocate for using technology to bring equity and access to all learners. After her time in the special education classroom, she worked in her school’s media center as a digital literacy specialist, where she designed and developed her own curriculum that brought together digital literacy, computer science, and project-based learning. Currently, Laura is an Instructional Technology Specialist with the Manhattan Division of Instructional & Information Technology (DIIT). She has trained teachers, in the NYCPS system and around the country, in topics around accessibility, Google Workspace, digital literacy, and most recently, AI Literacy. Laura holds various ed tech certifications–Google Level 1 and 2 Educator, Google Innovator, BrainPOP Educator, Common Sense Media Ambassador, Apple Teacher, and Adobe District Leader. She has presented at local conferences within the NYCPS, at ISTE, and with various international organizations. Laura is a technology and educational leader who has given workshops at Lehman College and has delivered numerous professional development opportunities at various school districts.
Brian German Dunlop
My name is Brian German Dunlop. This fall, I will be attending Brandeis University after receiving a full tuition leadership scholarship from Posse. My intended majors will be physics and mathematics. When it comes to careers, I strive to become an astronaut and I am passionate about science. I graduated from the Jeter’s Leaders program this past spring.
