Amelia King

Amelia King is currently finishing up her sophomore year of high school. Having attended Dr. Hinjua’s seminar ‘Cyberbullying and WISE Social Media Usage’ empowered Amelia to continue to spread awareness regarding the important role of open communication between families when it comes to utilizing social media.

Amelia has continued to grow her voice through opportunities to write about and advocate for positive uses of social media. She has also been exposed to opportunities for leadership through her middle school program emphasizing law and leadership. When speaking about Amelia, her principal shared that “this student has the ability to bring the best out of those around her.” She feels that being a leader is not about being the best but about helping others to do their best.

Amelia shares that all of her accomplishments, whether academic or non-academic, have happened because of great leadership examples from her parents, teachers, school staff, and those who have supported her.
