I have been blessed in life! I was born on a crisp Sunday morning to my beloved parents; oh what a day and what an amazing life I had in store for me.
I grew up and never left my hometown; Stockton. I attended Elmwood Elementary, Fremont Middle, Franklin High School and San Joaquin Delta College. Worked for the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s office, Tracy Defense Depot, August Elementary, Franklin High School and Cesar Chavez High School.
I was an Accounting Assistant II for Stockton Unified School District for thirty-one years. I created and maintained the general ledger system for student activities. My duties included preparation and implementation of budgets, daily, monthly and annual financial statements, bank reconciliations, wrote warrants and receipted and deposited all monies. I eagerly attended professional development courses, workshops and conferences to keep abreast of site, district and state guidelines, rules and regulations. While working I attended San Joaquin Delta College and acquired 70+ units in accounting and general education courses. I am a team player, I am always ready to assist, and I am enthusiastically seeking a new challenge and a new adventure in my life.
I volunteered numerous hours during my thirty-one years at the school sites; at school functions, athletic events, school dances, drama productions, music events, leadership activities and financial workshops and conferences. Now I find myself in my new honored position, as the treasurer for the Aaron Judge ALL RISE foundation. Seems that extra time I so willingly and eagerly spent working for and with our youths, has paid off in the utmost possible way.
I have been very happily married for fifty-two memorable years. A new segment of our life has begun, retirement of 9 years. Our passion is of the sea and we love to cruise. We plan to travel the wonderful US by land very soon; our beautiful USA has so much to see, can’t wait. We are the parents of two beautiful daughters, one son-in-law; who we call son, and have been blessed with 5 amazing grandsons. Our immediate family, our extended family and our friends love spending time together; playing cards, board games or just sitting around the kitchen table talking, eating, laughing and reliving old and new times. We all love to camp; the ocean scene is our favorite. We love a good old friendly competition in a volleyball or baseball game. Even at my age, my grandsons want me on their team; volleyball to serve and baseball to pitch or hit; grandma still has it! We enjoy attending our home town baseball games and hockey games; which we are season ticket holders, and we throw in a few basketball games occasionally. Now we have a new team to root for, the New York Yankees. Go Yankees! We are a close, loving and caring family who have a desire to spend time together; yes, I have been blessed.
